Synopsis: SWIMMING IN LIGHT takes you on a journey through a mysterious underwater world, finding surreal landscapes and strange glimmering creatures in an ethereal atmosphere. The film was shot entirely on an iPhone in aquariums in three different cities. Director's Bio: Eli Berliner is a 16-year-old filmmaker who attends Saint Ann's School in New York City. He has been making films since he was 12 years old. Since then, he has made over 15 films in a variety of genres.

Synopsis: Youth theater turns deadly when an ambitious teen actor in a Shakespeare troupe receives a prophecy about who will play the leading role. Director's Bio: Benny Rendell is a seventeen-year-old writer, actor, and director from New Paltz, NY. His previous short films, CRACKED, LISTEN, SISTER, and SCHOOL NIGHT have been selected for various film festivals, including the Woodstock Film Festival, the All American High School Film Festival, and the New Filmmakers NY Film Festival. For the last ten years, Benny has been acting with New Genesis Productions, a youth Shakespeare company in Woodstock, NY.

Hurly Burly

Deadly ambitions at a teen Shakespeare camp.

Synopsis: Anxiety is in the air. With COVID-19 going around, a young boy lets his anxiety get the best of him. He creates a conspiracy in his head and comes to believe that something in his backyard might have something to do with the illness. Director's Bio: Caroline Bridges comes from a family of actors and performers. When she was younger, her father got her an acting job, but after experiencing being in front of the camera she realized she wanted to be behind the camera even more. She's always had a passion for film and photography, and plans on going to college for film, photography and design.

Infection

Synopsis: Three high school teens have gathered to write a script about a 70's cop show, but the fictional characters they have created live in a digital world that requires them to act out the story. As the script takes an unexpected turn, one of the fictional characters begins to question his masters. Director's Bio: Nolan Trifunovic is focused on telling entertaining, multifaceted, and meaningful stories in his own voice. Like many independent filmmakers before him, he often writes, directs, shoots, and edits his own work. His productions have been accepted into highly selective film festivals across the United States. Synopsis: An act of mass violence committed by a student she mentored and assessed as harmless reverberates through the life of a newly-hired school psychologist. Director's Bio: Daniel Gonzalez is an 18-year-old filmmaker recently admitted to the B.F.A program in Film Production at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts. Gonzalez strives to create empathetic and often devastating stories which never suffer from the absence of hope, and hopes to become an independent auteur in the future.

Aftermath

A school psychologist is called to assess a student potentially capable of violence.

Synopsis: A fifteen-year-old girl embarks on a journey to study abroad in the United States. She travels from the east to the west, wandering back and forth between the two cultures and questioning her position on both sides. Director's Bio: Born in China, Youning Jiang is a 16 year-old filmmaker who came to the U.S. to study film at the Orange County School of the Arts. She is fueled by her passion to incorporate her eastern cultural values and views into her western work, and to become a cross-cultural film director.
