Synopsis: When carefree and directionless young Milo meets Roger, an older gay man, at a bar, she makes the impulsive decision to become a surrogate for him. Though she initially views this as a selfless act to help a new friend and find meaning for her own life, her decision quickly becomes messy and complicated. Milo uses her pregnancy as leverage to grow closer to Roger, while he simultaneously decides to set firm boundaries. Lead Molly Bernard gives a multilayered performance filled with honesty, charm and grace as her character discovers what it means to find purpose and belonging. A laugh-out-loud comedy filled with heart and nuance, beneath the surface MILKWATER is about understanding parenthood and sexuality while navigating difficult relationships with those you love.

Director's Bio: Morgan Ingari is a Brooklyn-based queer writer/director, originally from Boston. She graduated from Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television in 2013. Since graduation, she has worked in New York as a writer and director. Her first feature film, MILKWATER, was recently positively reviewed by the Hollywood Reporter, the Advocate, and Film Threat. She is as committed to representing women behind the camera as she is to telling their stories on screen.
