Synopsis: Two teenage girls who come from different worlds strike up a quick and deep friendship during summer break in 1998, set against the backdrop of a world consumed by the Monica Lewinsky scandal. What was already the most formative summer of their lives takes a drastic and unexpected turn when they become accidental accomplices in a fatal crime.


Director's Bio: Rebecca Eskreis’ work has screened at festivals around the world, including TIFF, SIFF, SXSW, deadCenter, Savannah, Thessaloniki, and more. She received the 2017 Sandra Adair/EBW Grant for promising female filmmakers from the Austin Film Society and was selected for the 2017 Austin Film Society Artist Intensive, hosted by Richard Linklater. Rebecca cut her teeth in development and production at prominent industry shingles, including Clinica Estetico, Red Hour Films, Di Novi Pictures, and 72 Productions. She holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from Barnard College at Columbia University and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
