Synopsis (Who Killed Vincent Chin?):

Vincent Chin, a successful engineer living out his dream of designing automobiles in Detroit, meets an unexpected and violent end when he is assaulted and killed by two men in the summer of 1982, following an altercation at a bar. Despite their bloody crime, the assailants initially receive lenient sentences due to a plea bargain. The troubling outcome of the case outrages civil rights advocates, who fight for justice and struggle to prove that Chin's attackers had racist motivations. This documentary was nominated for an Academy Award.

Synopsis (Complicit):

Yi Yeting, a migrant worker with occupational leukemia, decides to help others poisoned by benzene and n-hexane making smartphones. He brings his fight against benzene from his hospital room to Silicon Valley and the international stage. Against huge odds, Yi directly confronts corporate and government interests, while empowering and inspiring the people around him. COMPLICIT was filmed over 3 years in China’s electronics zones Shenzhen and Guangzhou with lush cinematography and unique access. http://www.complicitfilm.org/
