Film Director/Producer Victorious Decosta has come a long way since submitting his doc short, "Can't Wear A Wig Forever", to the 2016 Workers Unite Film Festival and winning the Special Jury Award for doc feature, "Digging for Weldon Irvine", in 2020.

Now, off the heels of producing films for HBO, Decosta's latest project is a television documentary for Fox Sports (FS1), "Jackie Robinson: Get To The Bag", which you can watch for free on their YouTube channel.

The film blends the lyrical narrative of Brooklyn-based rapper Skyzoo and the voices of multiple generations to celebrate Robinson’s extraordinary life and legacy, shedding new light on the Hall of Famer’s journey from the baseball diamond to prominence in corporate America. The film features memorable, archival footage and conversational interviews with Mookie Betts, Magic Johnson, Candice Wiggins, Alex Rodriguez, Dr. Ilyasah Shabazz as well as award-winning journalist Angelika Beener and acclaimed historian Peter Dreier, along with commentary from current MLB superstars and the newest generation of fans.
