A profile of Silvia Astudillo, Home Healthcare Aide. From "@Work", a Public Art Project which celebrates the workers who keep New York City moving. In each doc short, workers introduce us to their world, their work, and their dreams for the future. The project also involves banners with life-size painted portraits and a permanent mural/art installation at the Electrical Industry Training Center (IBEW Local 3) in Long Island City.
Events through April 30th are co-sponsored by the DC Labor FilmFest (Washington, D.C.), the Rochester Labor Film Series (NY), the Socialist Labor Party Hall in Barre (VT), and the Labor Heritage Foundation (D.C.) as part of the Global Labor FilmFest Network (GLFF) 2023 Online Screening Series.
