Kirby (he/him) is a trans man in his mid-twenties. During his early months on testosterone, he still has his period. He heads to the local convenience store in San Francisco to pick up tampons, which is where he meets Phoebe (she/her), the sociable cashier. She is pleasantly surprised and intrigued at the scene she perceives: A man secure enough to buy tampons for his girlfriend? In the heat of the moment, Kirby doesn’t correct her. He does, however, keep coming back to the store. Will he ever tell Phoebe the truth? If he does, how will she react?
