As this creature takes a toll on her mental and physical health and night terrors keep her from sleeping, we begin to wonder whether this monster is more delusion than reality. She meets with multiple doctors who are all sure this is in her head, which only intensifies the stress and tension in the house.
As we near the end of her pregnancy, her grandmother, Myra comes to support her. We learn more about the hag through her teachings, only to find out that this creature was what killed her mother. Soon after learning this news Reesa falls ill and goes into labor. While in labor she battles this creature for her life and her child's life, only to come out victorious. Once the child is born, we find out it's a girl and that this generational cycle of the hag haunting this family is doomed to continue.
