Across coastlines and open oceans, these stories follow seabirds navigating survival, connection, and change. A filmmaker turns his lens to a breathtaking spectacle between predator and prey, reflecting on both nature and a life behind the camera. Decades earlier, two scientists challenged convention with a groundbreaking discovery that reshapes how we understand the natural world. In the Falkland Islands, penguins endure shifting conditions and mounting threats, relying on the community to survive. Together, these films reveal the beauty, complexity, and resilience of life on the wing.

At the Falkland Islands, gentoo and king penguins need to survive despite numerous threats like predators, climate change and avian influenza. They find strength in numbers, going fishing as a big group and the chicks stay close to each other to be safe and warm, awaiting the return of their parents with food. Despite facing all these obstacles, the penguins demonstrate their extraordinary resilience. – NS
