From Brazil to Tahiti to Puerto Rico, this program follows surfers driven by passion, resilience, and a deep connection to the ocean. A young athlete chases her Olympic dream while navigating the challenges of a male dominated sport. A big wave surfer pushes the limits of focus and fear in pursuit of the perfect ride. And a pioneering woman transforms her love of surfing into a life of service, protecting others and reshaping her community. Together, these stories celebrate courage, determination, and the powerful pull of the sea.

This is the inspiring story of Paloma Quintana, a pioneering female surfer who changed the history of the sport for women in Puerto Rico. As a surfing instructor, for 23 years, she has often risked her life to save hundreds of tourists and others from deadly riptides on the treacherous Jobo beach, Through her efforts, the government finally installed lifeguards in 2025. – SW
