This is the story of the man who can't find a meaning to live. Mr. Makoto Akai is the chief character who moved to Toyosato Town, the neighboring town from Ishinomaki City, after the East Japan Great Earthquake Disaster. He lost his wife and two children in the tsunami. So he lives alone and spends gloomily every day. He is thinking of committing suicide because he can’t forget his family. His daily routine is to listen to the recording message that his wife left. One day, he meets a young woman who is in trouble with her bicycle puncture in the street. He helps her with her bicycle to be repaired and allows her stay with him for 2 days.

The communication with her brought him the positive way of thinking and gave him a new step of joining the activities in the community center.

この映画は生きる意味を見失ったひとりの男性の物語です。主人公の赤井誠は、 東日本大震災の後、石巻市から近隣の豊里町に引っ越した。赤井は津波で妻と子供 2 人を失い、ひとり暮らしになり、毎日ぼんやりと過ごしている。家族のことが忘 れられず、自殺を考えることもある。妻が残した留守番電話を聞くことが彼の日課 である。 ある日、赤井は自転車がパンクして困っている若い女性に出会う。自転車の修理 を手助けし、2 日間一緒に過ごすことになる。その女性とのふれ合いを通して、赤 井は自分の人生に前向きな考え方をするようになり、公民館での活動に参加し始め る。
