The Arab Film Festival is proud and excited to partner with the LatinArab International Film Festival, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina to bring you two films by Argentinian filmmakers that focus on the Arab world and Arab diaspora in Latin America. Many countries in Latin America have significant populations of Arab immigrants and/or citizens with Arab ancestry. As both organizations recognize and focus on Arab art, film and culture, it was a natural fit for the Arab Film Festival and LatinArab International Film Festival to work together to bring some of the best films from across the Western Hemisphere to the cinematic stage.
Analía’s mother sends her to Buenos Aires to deliver some handicrafts. She is expected to return home quickly to the country town where she is to take on her family’s hairdressing salon. But by chance an address mix-up leads her to a Muslim community where she finds herself taking part in a ritual completely unknown to her. Enthralled by the new world she has entered, Analía decides on the spur of the moment to take on another identity.
