This short block of films discusses serious topics with a twist of humor. The films focus on topics of immigration, the irony of one's actions, even the act of smiling all while delivering us some grins and smiles. Take a tour on the slightly lighter side of Arab cinema and enjoy these lighter films.

This short block of films is available for streaming to all audiences across the globe between August 12-21, 2022.

Suzi doll is an ego-warrior. The director’s online avatar, marching to the algorithms of social media. She is lit by temporary outrage. A trending indignation. A passion that is fashion. A politics of the popular. Her activism is abstract. Her help is hypothetical. We know many girls like Suzi, and many times we are her: vacuous virtual voices, echoing injustices.
