To celebrate France's National Day (Bastille Day) and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the Concert de Paris was held on the esplanade of the iconic Hôtel de Ville. For this special occasion, the Orchestre National de France and the Choeur de Radio France performed under the baton of Cristian Măcelaru, joined by an exceptional lineup of international stars: pianists Lang Lang and Khatia Buniatishvili; soprano Nadine Sierra; tenor Pene Pati; soprano Fatma Said; cellist Gautier Capuçon; and violinist Renaud Capuçon, among many others. The program offers a rich and varied musical selection, featuring Piano Concerto No. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy, the beloved French song Sous le ciel de Paris, and the triumphant "Ode to Joy" finale from Symphony No. 9 by Ludwig van Beethoven, alongside celebrated opera arias from the French and Italian repertoire.
