This program of short films from Lebanon explores the stories of the Lebanese people and their multifaceted lives and experiences. While all tinged with political unrest and socio-economic issues, their stories are vast and varied. From films grounded in this difficult reality to imaginative explorations of love, dreams and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, these shorts reinforce the unshakeable spirits and boundless creativity of the Lebanese people, even through difficult times.

Sophia, a young unorthodox mother and wife, sets out to help her family after her bigoted husband accuses her of hiding money from him. With a dread induced by her husband, Sophia decides to take matters into her own hands.


About the filmmaker:


Noor is a film student. He wrote and directed one short film "Qaser", produced by LOYAC Lebanon. He wrote a mini web series, produced by LOYAC Lebanon. Noor is also the director, scriptwriter and editor of the short film “Abbari”. He is currently writing a mini series.
