A video store love-letter documentary | It’s not often we get to witness the rise and fall of an entire industry in the span of a generation, but that’s exactly what the world saw happen to the video store business: from the original ‘80s mom and pop stores, to the corporate behemoth that gobbled them up, became Blockbuster Video, and eventually went bankrupt. Now, just one Blockbuster store remains, located in Bend, Oregon. Featuring interviews with Kevin Smith, Ron Funches, Doug Benson, and Bend, Oregon’s delightful store manager Sandi Harding (among a host of others), The Last Blockbuster is a wry, nostalgic look back at the ups and downs of video store culture and a bygone era for movie-fans everywhere.
