Pacific Cinewaves

A cinematic reflection of Pasika migration, cultures impacted by colonization, and the glimpses of that impact in our everyday lives. 

Kiki Rivera’s artistic response to the Dilukai that temporarily resides at the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum. The film is part of Pasifika Transmissions presents: KIKI AND THE DILUKAI.

The Dilukai is a carving rooted in and inspired by the people of Palau (Belau), and carved in Yap.


Pasifika Transmissions is a monthly distance learning series presented by the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum. Led by Micki Davis and Auntry Fran Lujan, each “Pasifika Transmission” is a way of enhancing cultural competency and showcasing the vibrant talents and histories of Pasifika artists.
