A special Capsule titled Housing Crisis split between two programmes of thematic shorts will highlight the importance of contemporary housing discussions.
The Housing Question takes its title from Friedrich Engels’ seminal 1872 texts addressing the severe housing shortages in his native Germany. Weaving together two architect’s social housing projects with their more legendary work in Sydney and Madrid, this project repopulates vacancy with the words of Engels and the resonant sounds and music of Saharawi survivors - more than 40 years in refugee camps. What do we want? When do we want it?
