The panamerican road construction that links Chile from north to south, stumbles with the biggest archaeological site of the Coquimbo region: El Olivar, an enormous native settlement which houses numerous prehistoric tombs from different cultures, among them, the peak of the Diaguita Culture.

The Diaguitas (800 - 1536 a.d.), studied by archaeologists since 1920 onwards, and well-known for their sophisticated pottery and geometric patterns, reveals more than 700 years of chilean prehistoric times and their connection to the territory, discovering this time, a profound conception of time and death.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
