SYNOPSIS
Maritime archaeologist and historians go in search of the crucial component in the Atlantic Slave Trade: the ships that carried those unfortunate souls across the atlantic. Over 12 million Africans were forcibly transported in horrific conditions to be sold and forced to work in the New World.
Very few of these vessels have ever been found, but on the shores of the Mobile River in Alabama experts think they may have found one and it could be the last ever slave ship to bring Africans to American soil.
Using techniques developed for the Drain the Oceans, the remains of this wreck and others are brought to life to tell one of the most appalling episodes in human history.
