The Midank Fables is a proof-of-concept short depicting the first act of a pilot episode for a TV series that follows the dysfunctional town of Mildank as it becomes the center of worldwide conflict. As impending war and inevitable subterfuge begin to saturate the "worst town in West Trudgia", we watch as an eccentric cast of characters dig their heels in to maintain their identity in spite of the powers that be, including the Fates themselves.
