A documentary short, following five women as they fight for their children through the cycle of homelessness, drug addictions and neglect from their own parents. Unique, yet undoubtedly familiar to many; a story on fear, sacrifice and the unconditional love between a mother and her children.

Love is abstract. It’s confusing to describe, hard to action and difficult to imagine. But when you think of a ‘mother’s love’, all of a sudden the word holds more weight and becomes more tangible. When you hear of a ‘mother’s love’, you think of your interactions with your own mother: strong, warm, soft, painful, intellectual, spiritual, absent, and attentive. A tapestry of dichotomies; a memory of what she was, is and is not. A ‘mother’s love’ stretches beyond our imagination. It’s the first relationship we encounter when we enter this world, and the one we often times deem most impactful in our analysis of ourselves. So our film strives to start here, at the very core, at the life-giving center of our universe.
