On Edgecombe Avenue in Sugar Hill, Harlem, Marjorie Eliot and her son have been hosting jazz concerts in her apartment every Sunday for the past 26 years. This film tells the story of the woman behind the piano, and how Marjorie’s generous vision came to be and the life it has taken on since as she leaves behind her own legacy.

In the afternoon, they cook and do house chores, paint, sing, and go out for coffee. Every now and then, they win gold medals in the Special Olympics. But what is important for them is to feel accepted, and above all, to enjoy themselves.

After 62 years of loving marriage, Yosef and Zilli decide to take their lives together. The memories of their love and their planned death are brought to life through the videotapes of their youngest son Doron.

Dean Gold is an Israeli-Canadian Director based out of Toronto. His previous short films include SHEHITA (Winner of Best Short Film Award at Toronto Short Film Festival 2018, Best Dramatic Short Film at Stockholm Independent Film Festival 2018) and FRAGMENTS OF JERUSALEM (Haifa International Film Festival 2019, Hot Docs International Film Festival 2020.)
