She directed the feature documentary In Country in 2014. Currently, she is developing a film about NASA’s Tektite Program with support from the NEH. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/f84faaff34a3a20ba45e643d4526f85f.jpg">MEET THE FILMMAKER: MIKE ATTIEMike Attie is an award-winning filmmaker whose films have screened at Sundance, HotDocs, Full Frame and CPH:DOX. Mike was a 2014 Sundance Institute DFP fellow and is currently a professor of film at the University of the Arts. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/cc97c8d3c204d56063a99f45b5d1f7d0.jpg">MEET THE FILMMAKER: RODRIGO OJEDA-BECKRodrigo Ojeda-Beck is an award-winning filmmaker, who’s work spans across the narrative and documentary spectrum. His films have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Locarno and CPH:DOX. He currently is teaching film at California State University Monterey Bay.

BIG HAPPINESS is a meditation on transnational adoption, identity, and colorblindness growing up in a transracial family. This film is in the Documentary Short Competition. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/c4bcc6cac776d9d5834212543fc395ea.jpg">MEET THE FILMMAKER: DA HEE KIMDa Hee Kim (Seoul, South Korea. 1988) is a transnational/transracial adoptee who grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis in a white family and community. She is based in Duluth and Los Angeles. Her work deconstructs the narrative of international adoption through a personal lens. She is interested in ethnographic filmmaking practices that allow those represented on the screen to participate in shaping the way the frame is viewed. Her work has screened at the Austin Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival, Boston Asian American Film Festival, and San Diego Underground Film Festival. Da Hee is a MFA film/video candidate at CalArts in Valencia.&nbsp; <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/f2e814f6a65183652adf31507c5187ef.jpg">MEET THE FILMMAKER: MATTHEW KOSHMRLMatthew Koshmrl is an award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer with an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. His work has played at The Jeonju International Film Festival, International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, DocumentaMadrid, and True/False Film Festival. Matthew personally focuses on cinema vérité documentary films that explore the evolution of tradition, individual and national identity, and unseen processes.

His constant striving to combine strong narrative skills with stylistic, visual design makes him a name in the young and emerging film industry. In 2018 he directed two seasons of the series "NR. 47" for Swiss Television, which was awarded the Zurich Television Prize.

Over the course of her little brother's swimming lesson, Yezidi wrestles quietly with her fearsome memories of the Mediterranean Sea. This film is in the Documentary Short Competition. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/06f59c7cce7cc3487cf42bf48d005406.jpg">MEET THE FILMMAKER: NELE DEHNENKAMP&nbsp;Nele Dehnenkamp is a documentary filmmaker based in Berlin. She is studying directing at the Film Acade-my Baden Wuerttemberg and holds an Master of Arts in social sciences from Humboldt University Berlin. Inspired by her background in sociology, her work focuses on character-driven observations that reveal pat-terns of social inequality. Her short films have been screened at various festivals, including IDFA, Dok Leip-zig and Filmfest Dresden. She is currently directing her first feature-length documentary, which was shot over a period of six years. The film tells the story of an African-American mother who fights tirelessly for her family while her husband is held in a maximum security prison.

His works as a producer has been screened in major international film festivals including Rotterdam, Edinburgh and Montreal. Currently he is pursuing a career in non-fiction film directing with a focus on Middle East.
