MEET THE FILMMAKER: HAOHAO YAN

HAOHAO YAN is a Chinese director and screenwriter. She received her MFA in directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2019 and graduated with the Schaffner Fellow Award. Her thesis film The Speech, premiered at Palm Springs International ShortFest, received Special Jury Award at the 68th San Sebastian International Film Festival, Filmmaker of the Future Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, selected for the 2020 CAA Moebius Showcase, LA Shorts, AFI Fest, and many more.
