The documentary Orsugiak, or The White Gold of Greenland, explores Denmark’s mining of cryolite in Ivittuut on Kalaallit Nunaat’s (Greenland’s) west coast.

The documentary premiered on Denmark’s national broadcaster but then was removed shortly after its release. Its editor then resigned in connection with the situation. The documentary has sparked significant debate in both Denmark and Greenland concerning colonial exploitation of Inuit homelands.
