Kinfolk, an Official Selection at BCEFF 2026, brings together environmental thinker and activist Vandana Shiva and Swedish artist, poet, and forest restorer Maria Westerberg—two women who have never met, yet whose work echoes across continents.

Through forests, biodiversity, ecological restoration, and creative activism, the film reminds us that small actions rooted in the places we love can become part of something much larger.
