SHARP AS STONE This 2D animated cartoony short features the debut of Elliot the Adventurer and his faithful yak steed, Baroo. Elliot seeks to pull a magical sword bound to a stone - bound in such a way, that only one, the rightful King of the land, is capable of lifting the blade. Many have tried to fulfill this task, and yet many have failed. Part of the reason she loves animation is because it acts as a great union between science and art - it has so much comprehension of mechanics, anatomy, timing, physics - and more recently, engineering and technology - but also allows for the freedom of exaggeration, design, performance, comedy.

KNIGHTMAN Kay, a medieval knight searches for the Holy Grail in New York City, believing it will return him home to his time period. He lives a lonely life working as a food delivery-man and is infatuated with Guen, a friendly artist who is one of his frequent customers. Director's Bio:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/818090000d7bc12ddb7874bc843082f2.jpg" width="175" style="display: inline; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em;">Jun Sekiya grew up in Yokohama, Japan, on THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and the films of Hayao Miyazaki. He moved to New York City to study filmmaking at New York University and graduated in May of 2018. In his time in New York, he has interned at companies like HBO and GKIDS, and most recently started work as a creative assistant for Soman Chainani, the New York Times best-selling author of The School for Good &amp; Evil.

COSMIC FLING&nbsp; The tale of Stan, an intergalactic garbage man who lives alone on an asteroid. To feed himself, he harpoons space debris and converts it into nourishment. To feed his soul, he dreams only of love. One day, he spots Beatrice, a fellow astronaut stranded on a passing comet. Director's Bio:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/ccbcd41866f8e5ef11f56d1276db6d93.jpg" width="150" style="display: inline; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em;">Jonathan Langager is a Student Academy Award-winning filmmaker and USC School of Cinematic Arts alumnus. His short film JOSEPHINE AND THE ROACH, has won numerous festival awards as well as Student Emmys for Best Short Comedy and Best Director and a Student Academy Award in the Narrative Category. Jonathan recently wrote and directed the short film&nbsp;PENELOPE IN THE TREEHOUSE for Disney Channel’s online platforms. Currently, he works as a screenwriter, creating fanciful tales for the likes of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.

On Broadway, Noah was in the original companies of "South Pacific," "Enron," "Elf" and "Legally Blonde." He played Shrevie in "Diner," the new musical by Sheryl Crow &amp; Barry Levinson. HOW CAN I FORGET Joe and Connie's awkward blind date takes an interesting turn when they discover that they share the same magical ability. Director's Bio:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/bae0f73c48916b599cac115845bc8523.jpg" width="150" style="display: inline; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em;">A Masters graduate from the Sorbonne in Paris, Natalia Andreadis' short film debut, WITHOUT, entered festival markets in 2010, winning multiple awards. Since then, her films have screened at 50+ festivals, she has directed commercials (TomTom, PETA), Behind the Scenes (Svengali), and is currently writing her first feature script. In 2019, Natalia won the Arri ALEXA Challenge with her short script for HOW CAN I FORGET.

An awkward blind date takes an interesting turn.

FIRST &amp; LAST A juxtaposition between a couple's first day together vs. the last day of their relationship. It intertwines the two days to show how Max and Hailey look at each other, sit next to each other, kiss each other -- or don't kiss each other. The fear of falling in love is falling out of love. This film explores both. Director's Bio:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/c0228ec66a07e50bc5f1c1888dee0ec7.jpg" width="175" style="display: inline; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em;">Brendan Beachman is a Colorado native, but has called Los Angeles home since 2009. He specializes in performance heavy, cinematic and stylized comedy, dark comedy and horror. His intense focus on storytelling permeates every project he’s involved in. Brendan currently lives in Santa Monica with his wife and dog, and when not directing, can be found beating the drums or scrambling around the mountains and deserts of California.
