After having her book proposal rejected by yet another publisher, Miranda is trying to accept the fact that she might never achieve her purpose. Thanks to encounters with various characters and multiple daydreams, Miranda will bring the audience with her on a journey to find something that was right in front of her all along: herself.


Director's Bio:

Maddalena Crespi is an Italian director and screenwriter. Born in 1989 in Milan, Italy, she moved to Scotland at a young age to finish high school and continue her university studies in Edinburgh, where in 2011 she graduated with a BA in English Literature. The following year she moved back to Milan where she started working as a writer in local publishing companies and newspapers. In 2013 she began her journey in movie production, working as a writer and producer for documentaries, features and shorts. In 2019, while working, she deepened her knowledge and passion for Nordic cinema with a course in Scandinavian Film Studies at the university of Copenhagen. “Miranda’s Mind” (2023) is the first short film she wrote and directed.
