Filmmaker Bio: Anndi Jinelle Liggett is a NYC-based filmmaker, born and raised in Virginia. Her stories often portray the magic in the mundane with a sense of heart and humor. Her Oscar-qualified short film, “Tender Thoughts”, executive produced by Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad, had its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. The film also screened in select theaters nationwide prior to Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Her previous short film, "Jelly", narrated by André Holland, won the Oscar-qualifying HBO Short Film Award at the 2023 American Black Film Festival and a Jury Award for Best Student Filmmaker by the Directors Guild of America.
