Filmmaker Bio: Rippin Sindher is a fearless South Asian filmmaker whose work fuses sociology and cinema to spark vital conversations on justice and identity. She won the 2023 Julia S. Gouw Short Film Challenge for FLIGHT 182—executive produced by Emmy® winner Archie Panjabi. The film was celebrated at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, iSAFF Canada, Tasveer, and San Luis Obispo International. The feature adaptation was a finalist for the 2025 Sundance Cultural Impact Residency. Sindher’s acclaimed films include SEVA, ZONE, The Hideout, Happy, and Broken Drawer. She brings television experience from Criminal Minds: Evolution, S.W.A.T., and Ryan Murphy’s Ratched. A former creative director for global brands, she is now an independent filmmaker represented by RAIN and part of the Shondaland Directing Program.
