In 2022, famed extreme-skiing champion Hilaree Nelson had great fun leading 3 other strong women to climb and ski first descents on the primeval, 7,000-foot mountains of Baffin Island, Nunavut. Sadly, just a few months later, she lost her life skiing down Everest. In loving memory of Hilaree Nelson, the first woman to climb Everest in 24 hours (1972-2022).
