How are media and entertainment reinventing in an age of transformation? Due to the accelerated evolution of the entertainment experience for global audiences, the future of live theatre-going and theatrical experiences has changed. As data increasingly drives programming decisions on streaming platforms, a new hybrid entertainment model has emerged incorporating new opportunities for audiences and filmmakers, as entertainment franchises are created for niche online platforms prior to broader distribution.


Albie Hecht is an Academy Award and Emmy Award winning producer. As president of Nickelodeon Entertainment, he oversaw the development and production of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, DORA THE EXLPLORER, BLUE'S CLUES, ALL THAT and co-created and executive produced the Kids Choice Awards. While at Nickelodeon, Mr. Hecht also produced the Oscar nominated movies JIMMY NEUTRON and LEMONY SNICKET for Paramount Pictures. Hecht went on to become creator and President of Spike TV and recently headed up CNN’s Headline News network. Mr. Hecht has produced over nine feature documentaries including WAR/DANCE, an Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner, and INOCENTE, the 2013 Academy Award-winning documentary short. Currently, Hecht is the Cheif Content Officer at pocket.watch, a digital entertainment compan and the creator and Executive Producer of RYAN’S MYSTERY PLAYDATE, the #1 Preschool show on television.


David Tochterman is CEO of Canvas Media Studios, a venture capital backed studio and distributor for film, television and digital/social platforms. David is also a digital strategy consultant for media, technology, and brand clients, as well as political campaigns. Prior to Canvas, David was a partner in production company Pemberley Digital, winners of two Prime Time Emmys for Interactive Media on YouTube. As a senior television executive and producer, he has developed and produced programming for all networks and worked on hit series' that have won over 25 Emmy Awards and Nominations.
