Rejoice Resist
Rejoice Resist celebrates Black Joy and Black pleasure as the ultimate form of resistance. It highlights the importance of allowing yourself to feel joy especially in the face of adversity. The film, surreal and lighthearted , depicts a woman on a quest to discover this truth.
Pride
Set in Charlottesville during the early 1990s, "Pride" follows an aspiring writer as she finalizes stories for the latest issue of Pride, a student run newspaper at the University of Virginia that historically provided a space for critical engagement with issues affecting Black students on campus.
