A raw and personal journey into the kaleidoscopic history of a “place of salvation”, Bakırköy. In his documentary, Berkay Şatır uses his own memories, neighborhood and neighbors to draw the spectator into a place where a musical growth has a big impact on different life forms and social communities. Bakırköy Underground looks at the changing texture of a musical identity and an area with unique archival footage and photos from 90’s and 2000’s. BAKIRKÖY UNDERGROUND

We are in a village school in Anatolia during a cold and snowy winter. The village school which is located right in the cemetery contains many mysteries. Yalçın ÇİFTÇİ&nbsp;Yalçın Çiftçi was born in 1992 in Adıyaman. He graduated from Marmara University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. Besides teaching, he has been a professional photographer for a long time. He photographs Anatolian folk culture and the lost cultural values. His photographs have been published in geography and photography magazines, including the prestigious periodical “Atlas”. Over the years he has won many awards for his photography and continues to tell human stories by using the photograpy’s visual power. Lately he has also been working on documentary filmmaking.

CHILDREN OF THE WHITE MOUNTAIN (Beyaz Dağın Çocukları)

Featuring Erkan Can, Vedat Vermez, Tunçkanat Yeğin, Ertuğrul Kanşay, Rıdvan Arı, Ali Nihat Irkörücü, Hayri Ilgın, Ahmet Karataş, Demir Tekin Gökçe, Ömer Severgün, Ahmet Çelikkollu&nbsp;Ertuğrulgazi Mesken Sports Club was founded in 1971 by the neighborhood youth and children interested in soccer. The club was closed down for political reasons in 1982, following the Military Coup in 1980. The people who lived those times tell us how the Coup has affected both the neighborhood and the team. He works in the media sector and continues his film and script works. &nbsp;Yusuf ANAVATAN&nbsp;Yusuf Anavatan was born in Bursa. He studied at Uşak University, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. He focused on story writing and screenplay work. He shot his first short film (Stack) in 2017. He works as a member of the press in the local media. At the same time, he continues his cinema studies.
