The most endangered cat in the world is making a comeback: the Iberian Lynx has outgrown its mountain stronghold in Southern Spain, and reached the borders of the central plains that would save it from extinction. But we might be celebrating too soon. A Spanish filmmaker sets out to film the pioneering lynxes that live at the edge of the plains: meeting a young, secretive mother fills us with hope – but at the crossroads of extinction, hope too often gives way to loss.
