US PREMIERE On January 20, 1942, high-ranking representatives of the German Nazi regime met in an idyllic villa on the Great Wannsee in the southwest of Berlin for a meeting that went down in history as the Wannsee Conference, because of its disastrous consequences perhaps the most terrible conference of human history. Present are 15 leading men of the SS, the NSDAP and the ministerial bureaucracy. They were invited by Reinhard Heydrich, head of the security police and SD, to a "meeting followed by breakfast". The exclusive topic of the approximately 90-minute discussion is what the National Socialists called the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question", which means the bureaucratically strictly planned organization of the systematic mass murder of millions of Jews from all over Europe. A fictionalized TV film on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the historical event, based on the minutes of the meeting written by Adolf Eichmann at the time. A historically accurate, haunting drama about a meeting that was part of planning the Holocaust. The film follows the protocol of this meeting. It was shot at the original location at Wannsee Lake in Berlin and produced by Constantin Television GmbH for the 80th commemoration day of the conference in 2022. It stars some of the most well-known German-speaking actors in the lead roles: Philipp Hochmair („The Experiment“), Johannes Allmayer („Colonia Dignidad“), Maximilian Brückner („Cherryblossoms“), Thomas Loibl („Toni Erdmann“) and Rafael Stachowiak („Undine“). FLORIDA PREMIERE Immediately following the Feature film, the 45-minute documentary by author and producer Jörg Müllner examines how millions of people were murdered and what role the meeting at Großer Wannsee on January 20, 1942 played in it. The minutes of the meeting are of central importance: they reveal how openly and clearly the planned murder of millions of Jews in Europe was discussed in the group of participants. The historically unique document is now - well secured - kept in the political archive of the Foreign Office and belongs to a file with the heading "Final solution to the Jewish question". It contains around 300 documents on the so-called "Jewish policy" between 1939 and 1943. The minutes of the Wannsee Conference are of particular importance. It was considered a "Secret Reich matter" - the highest level of secrecy in the Nazi state.
