“Once God has created you as a woman you remain a woman for life. It is not wrestling that will turn you into a man”. In Senegal, wrestling is considered the “king” sport, but it is only in one region where the women practice, as part of Diola culture. After having represented Senegal at two Olympic Games and being crowned as African Wrestler of the Decade, Isabelle Sambou trains a young generation of wrestlers, while reflecting on the glories & the regrets of her career.

THE QUILTERS follows a group of men who spend most of their waking hours inside the sewing room at South Central Correctional Center, a Level 5 maximum security prison in Licking, Missouri. As several quilts move from design to completion, audiences come to know these men, witnessing their struggles, triumphs, and sense of pride as they create something elegant inside this sacred windowless space.
