A collection of wholesome ideas are inscribed on video images of Dwayne Jahn's original handmade abstract artworks. An original soundtrack by Oxford Improviser Lawrence Casserley using water sounds, rain sticks, and his signal processor instrument, accompanies the videopoem.
THE WAVES OF MY MIND (LAS OLAS DE MI MENTE)
A woman, a mirror, and a reflection encounter one another in an experience of fragmentation and self-otherness.
Such Complexity/Air & Wood
This experimental music video inspired by Ezzat Nashashibi's new music composition "Luft und Holz II" creates a dialectical interplay between text, roving and randomized camera behaviors, and time dilation and compression. Underlying the technical aspects of its composition, the theme of leaving wild ecosystems to their own devices is driven home by Jack Cochran's erasure poem, which takes Peter Wohlleben's "The Secret Wisdom of Nature" as its source material.
Gray
An animated calligraphic haiku meditation on a theme of gray: Ink and water, and nuanced “color” variations carry the opposing concepts of subtle quiet beauty and relentless neutrality.

Explorations and exploitations of sound—the sound of words, the sound of anxiety, the sound of abstraction. This showcase features works that bring ancient poetic traditions of musicality and rhythm to a contemporary foreground across Super 8 footage, paintings, performance, and animation. Some skim the surface of music video buoyancy, some are a discordant choreography of the senses, all use audio as integral to the experience of language.
