Animated fabric brings the story of a lingerie factory in Manchester to life. Silk, cotton and lace go under the camera, as the workers recount the history of Headen &amp; Quarmby, the UK garment manufacturing industry, and British family traditions of making. A specially composed soundtrack by Swedish composer Malin Bång, inspired by sounds of sewing machinery, evokes the ups and downs of the factory.

Richard Rothstein, author of 'The Color of Law', narrates a fast-paced motion design film that illustrates the forgotten history of how all of the nation’s metropolitan areas became segregated by “de jure” segregation, racially explicit policy on the part of the federal, state and local governments. 'Segregated By Design' explores different subjects pertaining to residential segregation like many New Deal policies, racial zoning techniques like Redlining, the creation of slums, blockbusting, slum clearance, state-sponsored violence, the immense wealth gap between white families and African-American families, the effects of segregation and the constitutional remedy for the unconstitutional segregation.

I was commissioned by The School Of Life to create an animation exploring intimacy and closeness in modern relationships. It is a film about how, often, the closer we grow to someone, the less we want to sleep with them - and what we can do to address this issue for more fulfilling relationships.

The film depicts thoughts and feelings of a mother with her so-called mentally disabled son. While she moves with him through everyday life, her ambivalent feelings, her struggles to accept him as he is, get into her way. The story is told as an associative montage of scenes, following feelings and experiences of the mother, as we listen to her inner monologue.
