Watch Party - Watch the Body programme along with other festival goers and get involved in the live chat!

As we move about our lives, our bodies are constantly changing, evolving with each new experience and passing day; we’re no longer the person we were five or ten years ago, despite occupying the same vessel. Each wrinkle, ache, and alteration we make to our bodies is a tale worth telling. Embrace your ever-changing body and inner storyteller with this intimate programme of films opening up the discussion about exploring gender and sexuality, the untold sacrifices of motherhood, our different abilities and disabilities, and how we as humans are continuing to advance with the constant rise of technology.

Wilted is an intimate, autobiographical film documenting my own personal experience with the anxiety disorder body dysmorphia. Starting with my first experience with the condition as a child and showing my journey to where I am today, I use metaphors of flowers, water and decay to illustrate the internal logic of dysmorphia. This traditional animated film makes use of pencil crayons and watercolor paint to visualise the delicate, fragile workings of an unstable mind and hopefully put across the fluid, unreliable nature of the disorder.
