Hello, old friend. Cure that Home/Sick feeling and reunite with us for a programme steeped in nostalgia and hiraeth*. These 10 shorts will have you travelling through the past, present, and future to consider what home means to us, what we would do to protect it, and what our home itself might be longing for. We invite you to cwtsh up with cherished memories from childhood and remember faces and places that have changed dramatically over the years. Make yourself at home.

*Hiraeth (noun) (Welsh): A deep homesickness, an intense form of longing or nostalgia for a place long gone, or even an unaccountable homesickness for a place you have never visited.

Helô’r hen ffrind. Gwellwch yr ymdeimlad hwnnw o Hiraeth am/Adre ac aduno â ni ar gyfer rhaglen llawn nostalgia a hiraeth*. Bydd y 10 ffilm fer hyn yn eich tywys drwy’r gorffennol, y presennol a’r dyfodol i ystyried beth mae adre yn ei olygu i ni, beth y byddem yn ei wneud i’w warchod, a’r hyn y gallai ein cartref ei hun fod yn hiraethu amdano. Rydym yn eich gwahodd i gwtsho gydag atgofion annwyl o blentyndod a chofio wynebau a lleoedd sydd wedi newid yn aruthrol dros y blynyddoedd. Gwnewch eich hun yn gartrefol.

*Hiraeth (enw): Hiraeth dwfn, hiraeth dwys neu hiraeth am le sydd wedi hen fynd, neu hyd yn oed hiraeth anatebol am le nad ydych erioed wedi ymweld ag ef.

“The Poetry of Non-Self” is a short animation film that deals with moments that hold beauty. It shows how the sense of self is absent from such moments and deals with the notion that this is, in a way, what childhood is like - a moonstruck, self absent gaze. The film animates a text that deals with those matters, through daily, everyday life occurrences - that the hero experiences while staring at the boiling pot in his home kitchen.
