Pay What You Can

In 2017, the Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) introduced a sliding scale ticket system with the aim of making their festival more affordable. SQIFF credits Leeds Queer Film Festival for inspiring the concept of the sliding scale, who in turn took it from Califia Collective in California.

Below are some recommendations on how you might want to pay for your ticket based on personal circumstances. Proof will not be asked for.

Free or £2 - those who are finding it hard to meet everyday costs

£4 or £6 - for those who can meet daily costs but find it can be stressful to do so

£8 - for those who are employed and can meet their daily costs comfortably

Acclaimed filmmaker Rodney Evans explores what it means to have vision. As he confronts his own sight loss due to a rare genetic condition, he turns to three blind and visually impaired artists, photographer John Dugdale, dancer Kayla Hamilton, and writer Ryan Knighton, for guidance and insight into their own artistic journeys.
