In the mist-covered mountains of Baja Verapaz, Guatemala, the Maya Poqomchi’ community of Renacimiento refuses to disappear. Decades after losing its ancestral land, their fight endures through assemblies, memory, and the voice of Chico, a young leader carrying a struggle older than himself. Observational and intimate, the film follows a community transforming pain into political resistance, asking what justice means when a people’s right to exist is still denied.
