BAIT
BAIT is a 2018 feature film shot on 16mm B&W film and processed by hand. Captured in Cornwall, it tells a stark story rooted in local culture and community, and how these marginal places are facing up to a changing world. From writer/director Mark Jenkin and Early Day Films, BAIT is a hand crafted monochrome expression of a life under threat.

LIFE: PLASTIC WRAPPED


“Only we humans make waste that nature can’t digest.” - Charles Moore. Life: Plastic Wrapped is a collaborative dancefilm by Sasha Chudacoff. It was filmed and edited during March/April 2020 Quarantine. Plastics are making a HUGE comeback due to covid-19. The increase of plastic production and waste has been directly affected by this global pandemic. Through dancefilm and poetry, Sasha "stays with the trouble of plastic" in all its' metaphors in our modern times. Owning her personal participation in the plastic problem and climate catastrophe is part of this story; however now in current times of global pandemic and systematic social change, this piece takes on new layers of complication and depth.


In addition to playing as a part of Narrative Shorts Program 4, LIFE: PLASTIC WRAPPED will play in front of BAIT and THE STORY OF PLASTIC.


Director Bio

Filmmaker Sasha Chudacoff used the Covid-19 lockdown to tackle the damage plastics do to our planet in the best way she can: through dance.
