AUGUST
In a small North Carolina mountain town, a young boy wrestles with the anger and uncertainty of growing up with an emotionally and physically volatile parent. Tensions come to a head when an altercation between his mother and her boyfriend turns violent.
Director Bio
Cameron is a New York City based director originally from Atlanta, GA. She is an alum of the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium, and a graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Acting. She is currently a Jacob Burns Creative Culture Fellow. Family, addiction, and isolation are recurring themes in her work, and she is drawn to stories that deconstruct female identity.
