DOCUMENTARY SHORTS I: "PORTRAITS"
Our annual showcase that intimately reveals some of our favorite characters, lifestyles, and stories.
AFFURMATIVE ACTION
This film explores "Meet the Team" pages at a variety of different video and advertising companies. Every team has a diverse representation of dogs on their profile, but no black people. AFFURMATIVE ACTION asks the question, "How far have we really come?"
THE SEEKER
A lyrical portrait of an excommunicated Amish woodworker struggling with spirituality, poverty, and life as an outcast from his strict, insular community.
STILL PROCESSING
A box of stunning family photos awakens grief and lost memories when viewed for the first time on camera.
THE LOST ASTRONAUT
In 1963, Ed Dwight Jr. was poised to be NASA’s first African-American astronaut. But the United States never sent him to space. For decades, he has maintained that he was discriminated against by the legendary pilot Chuck Yeager.
WHEN I'M HER
Michael was a ballet prodigy with a stellar career ahead of him. He transformed into a Russian ballet instructor named "Madame Olga" as a way to both embrace himself as an artist and reconcile with trauma from his past.

THE SPIRITUAL EXERCISES
Terence Netter was an artist and Jesuit priest. Therese Franzese was an assistant at the Metropolitan Opera. They wanted to marry, but he'd taken a vow of celibacy. This is a story of love prevailing against all odds and lasting over 50 years.

Our two largest initiatives are legislative advocacy aimed at forcing Saudi Arabia to end the blockade over Yemen and the second primary action is the funneling of resources DIRECTLY to the therapeutic feeding centers featured in the film (we also have other ways to get involved).
