Every day is a new series of performances for Trevor, because he believes that the only way to be valued is to be, at all times, the most perfect version of himself possible. It’s a gargantuan task. One that requires so much work, it’s as if he has stagehands to assist in building the facades in his apartment. Throughout the day, his world reorganizes as the people around him come and go. But the exhaustion of performing starts to erode the perfect illusion he’s constructed.
Matt Scott Jones
Matt Scott Jones [he/him/his] works as a screenwriter and director in Los Angeles, CA. But if you’ve seen his work, you might not be shocked to know he got his start as a dancer. After participating in a dance and filmmaking hybrid residency in Cape Charles, VA, Matt did the only rational thing and quit his job and dove back into graduate school at Chapman University, where he emerged with a degree in film directing and a clearer perspective of the murky waters of the entertainment industry. He thanks his family for their unconditional support, even if they don’t always understand.
Matt is best known for his short film, VENEERS, and he’s in development for his next film about a professional cuddler, who learns she’s as desperate for intimacy as her clients. When not working on his own projects, Matt assists shoots with The Hollywood Reporter and is the Creative Assistant at Lighthouse Productions, working closely with Michael Phillips (TAXI DRIVER, THE STING, etc.) and Juliana Maio (author of City of the Sun).
