A FRAGMENTED QUARANTINE DREAM
A night in the life of Quarantine 2020 was captured. A tiny destination ski town, nestled in mountains had completely shut down. All businesses closed; the streets sat empty. During this initial stage of global pandemic, much was unknown. There is a bittersweet feeling of delight and fantastical sense of disbelief. In this suspended reality, I danced.

After a devastating breakup, Lance listens to instructional cassette tapes on how to heal his broken heart.
RELATIONS
Two adult cousins have different views on a secret sexual encounter from their youth. One of them needs the truth to be out in the open.

UNDER THE LIGHTS
Sam is a boy with epilepsy so desperate to feel like a normal kid, he goes to prom knowing that the lights will make him have a seizure. Starring Peace Joza and Alyssa Jirrels of Disney Channel fame. Made by epileptic filmmaker Miles Levin, this film serves to be one of the first authentic, empathetic depictions of epilepsy in cinema: an effort to represent an invisible demographic of 1 in 26 people who suffer from brutal stigma every day.

Director Bio

Erin Brown Thomas is a dynamic director, writer, producer, and editor who's collaborated with heavyweight talent including Selena Gomez, Eminem, Tony Hale, Lena Dunham, Emmy Rossum, and Elisabeth Moss and tentpole companies such as HBO, Netflix, Refinery 29, A Casual Romance, MTV, Snapchat Originals, and Makeready. Her films have received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and have been curated by Vimeo. 


Erin has directed over a dozen award-winning films which have screened in 92 festivals worldwide, including 14 Oscar Qualifying events. Most recently, the experimental "But First" placed her as an Artist in Residence at Palm Springs International ShortFest. She was also selected to participate in the DGA's esteemed Commercial Directors Diversity Program.


Erin’s screenplays have advanced at Sundance New Voices, the Academy’s Nichol Fellowship, Austin Film Fest, and Blue Cat Screenplay competition. Her pilot “Managing Life” was enacted via UCB's selective “Let’s Table This” lab. Erin is in pre-production for her lauded original screenplay Italy ’99. 


When not on set, Erin dangles from the air as an aerial acrobat. Thus, she also founded a viral-hit prod. company, Versatile Assassins which tells complex stories about the human experience through aerial dance. Her youtube has quickly amassed 53k subscribers and over 6M views.


Erin co-founded Salute Your Shorts Film Festival in 2017 with Becky Murdoch. Curation has deeply impacted her curiosity and voice as an artist."
