This film takes us on an emotional journey from sacred ground above Byron Bay to Antarctica, Indonesia to Pakistan, and is sure to light a fire under the strongest climate change denier. THE POWER OF ACTIVISM focuses on six highly spirited female activists as they are put under the microscope to ascertain the financial impact of their environmental solutions…and the results are astonishing. From shark conservation to indigenous practices, intensive farming to plastic pollution; all their ‘causes' fall under the umbrella of "climate change", but they should also fall under the umbrella of "saving taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars!”

The Power of Activism

A group of young female activists risk it all to change the future thinking of governments and major companies. In true ‘David vs. Goliath’ style, these inspirational scientists and conservationists challenge the thinking of outdated practices that are contributing to climate change.

What will Europe look like if we continue to ignore the climate crisis? In a not too distant future, the once picturesque city of Lucerne, Switzerland has become uninhabitable due to climate change. Beginning in an abandoned kitchen, the scope of the change is revealed on an ever-increasing scale, until finally the dried-up Lake Lucerne can be seen. 3.5% is is a hybrid of 3D animation and live action. It is based on real footage of the city of Lucerne, heavily manipulated with CGI and Compositing (VFX). The audio consists of excerpts from interviews with Swedish climate activist and founder of the "Fridays for Future" movement Greta Thunberg.

What will the picturesque city of Lucerne, Switzerland look like if we continue to ignore the climate crisis? Beginning in an abandoned kitchen, the scope of the change is revealed on an ever-increasing scale, until finally the dried-up Lake Lucerne can be seen.

If you travel down a one-mile stretch of Doremus Avenue in Newark, NJ, you pass a natural gas plant next to a sewage treatment facility next to an animal fat rendering plant next to a series of ominous looking chemical storage containers behind acres of fencing. Airplanes pass overhead every two minutes, their engines rattling windows, while a putrid smell wafts from the open pools at the sewage treatment plant. This stretch is known as Chemical Corridor, and it’s located just down the road from schools and apartment buildings. It borders the Ironbound neighborhood, where Portuguese, Brazilian, Central American and African American residents are separated from toxic substances by little more than a railroad track. The Ironbound district of Newark, New Jersey, is one of the most toxic neighborhoods in the country. Maria Lopez, a Honduran-American resident there, is waging a war for environmental justice. The Sacrifice Zone follows Maria as she leads a group of warriors who are fighting to break the cycle of poor communities of color serving as dumping grounds, so the rest of us can live in comfortable ignorance.

The Ironbound district in Newark, New Jersey, is one of the most toxic neighborhoods in the country. Within four square miles, people co-exist with a garbage incinerator, sewage treatment facility, international airport, seaport, and thousands of trucks per day. Follow Maria Lopez-Nuñez as she fights for environmental justice and works with her community to build a just and sustainable future.

Our climate and climate crisis is, to say the least, multi-faceted and diverse. Humans' profound impacts on our planet, from pollution to deforestation, to burning fossil fuels, are all interconnected, enormously complex and, ultimately, challenging to comprehend and address as a whole. This is why, to make true substantial change, we need to start with a more nuclear mindset: what can we personally do to dip our toes into climate activism that will help to set off a chain of events eventually leading to the larger change? In "Addressing Inevitability: Composting for a Healthier Earth," starting nuclear is the foundational ideal. It begins with a practice at home, collecting food waste and bringing it to a local farm, that develops into a practice an entire high school in which New Mexico participates, effectively lowering one carbon footprint but paving the way for many others to follow. With facts and figures on methane emissions from food waste in landfills intertwined with storytelling, this film takes knowledge and education to acts of change.

Addressing Inevitability: Composting for a Healthier Earth

This film grapples with the devastating environmental impact of food consumption and how throwing food waste into trash cans instead of compost bins brings us leaps closer to destroying our planet.

Eighth-generation Tasmanian and environmentalist Oliver Cassidy embarks on a life-changing solo rafting trip down the famous Franklin River, located in the remote Australian rainforest. His goal is to retrace his late father’s 14-day expedition to attend the blockade that saved the World-Heritage listed national park from being destroyed by a huge hydroelectric dam project in the early 1980s. Narrated by Hugo Weaving, featuring never-before-seen archival footage, and interviews with key players, the eight-year-long 'Franklin Campaign' is revealed as the most significant environmental protest in Australia's history; an inspiring example of the power of non-violent direct action to bring about lasting change.
